How long have you worked for Becovic Management? I started in July of 2010
What sets Becovic apart from other property management groups? To start with, BMG is very much a TEAM effort on every front. The Becovic property portfolio is not large, yet growing at the perfect speed. You can often times find a staff member working at another BMG property. We cover the workload when there is a need. BMG owns and manages all of our own properties. This isn’t always the case with apartment communities. Often times you will have a management company/leasing office staff that is hired by the property owners. The owners will make an onsite visit once or twice a year. Our owner stops in often and is very much a part of decision making. When you have the added interest of managing and owning a property it becomes much more personal. Every aspect of the property is a reflection directly on all of our staff. From Muhamed to management, to each area of staffing (maintenance, grounds, leasing, etc.). Most of our staff members reside on our own property. We all take great pride in where we live, our wonderful neighbors and the community in which we work and live. We get to have the same viewpoint that our residents have. We don’t just “clock-out” at the end of the day. We go to our homes and see our residents as neighbors and friends. Doesn’t everyone want to be happy with their home? We do! We make an extra effort to make our home and office the best it can be!!
What is your favorite part about leasing? I love getting to meet and know so many people. I might be the only staff member at Becovic who works at a property in their home town. I am born and raised right here in Plainfield. This is where my (MANY – over 30) family members still live and many work. My parents, brother and his family and my grandmother all live within 5 minutes of Central Park. Plainfield is where I chose to raise my daughter. She and I both graduated from Plainfield High School. There are Central Park residents that I have known since my grade school years. I have been in leasing long enough to get to know so many personal details of our residents. No matter what the circumstance; graduating from college, getting new jobs, seeing life changing events, watching families grow or even break apart. We see it all. I feel it is such a blessing to get to be a small part of anyone’s life journey.
3 Fun Facts about you- 1.) I was cast as a singing Boylin Sister for a community theater production of Annie, while my daughter who was 5 yrs old was in the chorus.
2.) I was a PHS Cheerleader in high school and Cheer Coach for 10 years working with 7th – 12th grade cheerleaders.
3.) I once went to a dinner party (I was 19 yrs old) and sat next to a sweet older gentleman all evening. We laughed and even danced together a little bit. When leaving I told Paul goodbye and thanked him for dinner. The next morning I was told by my date that it was actually Paul Newman. I’m such a blonde! :-)
Favorite floor plan at Central Park? The Manhattan – it’s the one I live in
Favorite Indianapolis Attraction? The Indianapolis Zoo! I love the baboons, dolphins, giraffes, tigers and elephants the most. I can’t wait for the orangutan exhibit to open!!!
